Archive Views Automation

A saved-views system that turned filters into reusable building blocks for reporting and marketing workflows.

Overview of the saved Views experience in Archive

Goal

Archive wanted to streamline repetitive marketing work and create a scalable foundation for future automation. The product needed a concept that was simple enough to understand immediately but flexible enough to support workflows across the platform.

Approach

We introduced Views: reusable combinations of filters that customers could save and apply elsewhere.

The work had two connected goals:

  • Help customers understand Views and begin using them with little setup.
  • Prepare the product’s design and infrastructure for broader automation features.

Designing the entry point

Whenever customers applied filters on the home page, the interface offered a natural next action: save the current configuration as a View. Product tours helped new customers understand why the concept was useful.

Views were then made visible and easy to manage within the product’s navigation.

Reusing Views in workflows

Customers could apply saved Views to features such as Reporting. This made simple workflows quick to assemble—for example, reviewing content from a particular campaign and reporting on its results without rebuilding the same filters.

Result

Releasing Views validated the underlying product concept and increased filter usage by 48% among active users. More importantly, it established a reusable model for future workflow and automation features.
